There are two simple methods to download songs and music via google search engine.Both of these methods work by typing a specific string into the Google search box.You will thereby get access to open indexes of music from various websites.

Method 1:

Type the following into google search box and press Search:

• “parent directory” mp3 OR wma Band/Singer -html -htm -download -links

Replace “Band/Singer” with the actual song name or artist name to find the desired song or songs and music of your favourite artist.In the above string mp3 and wma stand for the music file formats.You can either replace them or tag more formats to search.For example, if you want to find all music/songs of the artist Illayaraja in .wav format as well, you can search for the following:

• “parent directory” mp3 OR wma OR wav Illayaraja -html -htm -download -links

Note that you will get appropriate results, only if music files are available in such format.But mp3 is the most popular format and you can almost be sure to find music/songs in that format.

Method 2:

You can also search for downloadable music/songs by typing the following into google search box and pressing Search:

• -inurl:htm -inurl:html intitle:”index of” mp3

This will bring up a list of MP3 directories from where you can download the songs/music.You can also type:

• -inurl:htm -inurl:html intitle:”index of” mp3 “illayaraja”
